Meh I have done a bunch of launched in my 100k mile 6 year old smg and it’s still a champ
AWD is a lot tougher on transmission then RWD but thanks for the input…
Ya just a lot of people have corvettes so I guess this has the appeal of something that no one owns really. I also don’t like corvetts becuase they have a base model on the 09 that is about 40k and the fully loaded one is 110k. If I want a 100k car, I dont want someone driving a 1/2 priced version. Lol
 2 wheels…4 wheels… its all the same
Ya I agree on that. Its stupid that Nissan is treating cutomers so bad with this. Hope they wake up.
Not to mention that the ZR1 will hold its value much, much better seeing as there is only going to be ~ 300 made.
only 300 really i didnt know it was that limited…
wow thats news to me.
“2 wheels…4 wheels… its all the same”
Maybe if the 2 drive wheels can get as much traction as awd which is nearly impossible.
Or you have a really shitty clutch that just slips when to much traction is achieved.
2000 made
Yeah 2,000 a year I remember hearing
also have been hearing as many as they can put out but no confirmation on that.Would reallly kill the price gouging going on on ebay thoughLast time I checked they were SELLING on ebay for 150ish.Sounds stupid to me if I had THAT kind of money as where it didn’t matter what I paid I’d be driving a new 430
As I’ve previously said, they drive like a bat out of hell but I’d never own one especially with the issues some of my friends have had.
But, despite how ugly they are, from the rear with LM’s and exhaust they look pretty hot:
^^^^^Agreed,I just can’t stand the front of them.
gorgeous cars, corvettes are cool too.
i’d take a GTR sooner but wouldnt buy it used. I’d buy a used Vette without issue.
the $40k vette vs. $110k vette is an important issue. Yeah we can tell the difference at first sight, but the bitches cant… that’s a problem since other than tracking the cars the only other reason to own them is to make people who cant afford them feel like failures.
i fucking love it.
race cars for all.
they keep getting fatter and fatter
didnt you already buy a zr1?
That was the plan. GM has since been told by the Gov’t that the project will be put on hold / cancled until they get their finances straightened out. Which will be indefinately, so you can kisss the program good bye. Due the the $25B they are getting, a stipulatuion was placed that they use that money to stay viable and work on producing more fuel efficient vehicles. Hence, the only car in GMs line up that’s subject to a gas-guzzler tax had to be sacrificed. The ZR1.
Of corse none of this is offical. But you will hear something this week about it. My guess is the press release will come out on Tuesday.
Remember when the Gov’t bailed out Chrysler in the 80’s? Well there was a stipulation for them also. It was mandated that they wern’t allowed to put a v8 in a passenger car for 20 years. That’s why it took till mid 200x for us to see the hemi in cars. And also the reason the Prowler had a V6 and the Viper a V10.
LOL I wish. They only started releasing them about 3 weeks ago.I have $5k down on one since Feb but doubt i’ll get one before spring. They make about 5 per day so the wait will be awhile I’m sure
… GM is allowed to finish producing ZR1s that they currently have parts inventoried for. As of last week that was about another 60 on top of the 254 or so already built. I’m interested to hear the press release and how they will spin the fact that they were forced to put the ZR1 down. I’d be surprised if they just came out and said as much.
