you bastage jon! your sooo taking me for a boot!
dont you mean boost?
FYI, there was some delay on my kit because the wastegates didn’t come in on time or something. It should ship out tomorrow (friday) according to Marc at IAP. weee
Any info on the reduction price, I am very interested in this kit also. SHipping Quote to Montreal, Qc would be around ?
WICKED!
I just mailed my cheque for the stage 1 kit!!!
Can’t wait… 28 days turn around time from the time the cheque clears, the engine will be out of the shop in a couple of weeks, and then it’s time to hook up for the boost!
WICKED!
(yeah… I’ve been watching too much Ali G recently)
Im drooling over stage 2, and Im building my own I cant justify paying 7grand for a kit going on a 1500 dollar car.
i saw TheDecline’s kit.
SUCH A SICK DEAL! the wastegate and the bov alone are worth over $700-$800 if you were to buy them at JRP.
you guys wont be disappointed!
has anyone been to IAP’s site lately? It looks like the kit just went up 600 bucks!!! I was just going to get this and now i might actually piece together the kit unless you guys still have this group buy price going on? Please let me know as I might go into some debt to get this kit for a g cheaper now rather than latter.
Email Marc at IAP and tell him you are from the SON group buy and ask what price they are willing to give it to you for? Thats the best I can offer.
How much RWHP does this kit yeild? Is there potential to grow for more HP?
^^^ I’m going for as much as the T3/T4 will handle…
I’ve sent my cheque (almost 1 month ago), I 've sent a couple of emails to Marc and I have not heard back… anyone been in contact with him recently?
pATricK
I haven’t talked to him since i recieved my kit since iv been very busy.
My kit took the full 1month plus an extra week since the wastegate was backordered. be patient and im sure marc will respond.
as for how much HP? depends on your setup. i doubt anyone is running JUST a stage one alone without any of their own additional mods. id say just the kit with an exhaust will only be limited by injectors. stock injectors at 85% duty makes like 180hp. pretty sad. upgraded injectors (requires some sort of fuel control + better fuel pump) and a z32 mafs will bring you up in HP relative to injector size up until something like 350hp. then internals and probably a standalone are a good idea.
Thanks man, I know that he said turn around time is 4 weeks, I guess I am a little anxious…
What were your impressions of the kit once you got it?
Have you put it on yet?
I received my kit yesterday, started the install today. Marc’ll be around, he’s probably just busy, he’ll always end up replying…
Let me tell you, this kit and the way it’s packed is very well thought out, right down to the details. 7 PSI is supposed to land you in the 190-230 rwhp range, varied by several factors.
So far the install is going well, I may well post up some pics soon.
Good luck with yours…be ready for a customs-raping too if you’re going that route lol…
So then are we still able to order this and who do I talk to about it?
how much did it cost in total to get this kit in your hands? tax, duties, everthing…
yes you can still order it. talk to marc at IAP

My particular shipment was their first Fedex shipment to Canada, and it went Ground instead of Express by accident somehow, took too long and costed $392 CDN in brokerage and taxes! So they refunded most of the shipping I had paid them…but still I took a pretty hard hit…but either way customs in Canada is gonna charge GST/PST/Brokerage to bring the kit over, be aware.
All in all, sadly, you’re gonna need some good coin set aside to bring the kit in…
It’s almost worth driving to Ohio and installing the kit in THEIR shop or at an Ohio Rent-a-garage…
Brokerage fees can be waived by doing the importing paper work yourself. Mind you, this can only be done on air shipping to TO because FedEx Ground clearance and rating is done at the land border and you would have to go there and meet the truck it is on…not very predictable
It is pretty easy to do. Only thing you need is the tracking number and tell them (FedEx) that you want to do a self clear, UPS calls it a “clears own” if you ever ship with them. This way you only pay the taxes, no duty as it is made in the USA.
