Guess the mileage at my new Volt's first fill up and win a tank of gas!!

We have been on the news with them before but that was when they first arrived. Maybe I will hit them up again.

Something tells me that is opening a big can of worms… but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t do it.

Invite the media out and take them for rides around the track. They like that kinda stuff, lol.

So I used my first 0.7 of a gallon last night. I did almost 100 miles yesterday though so that’s not too bad. Especially considering I would have used more than 5 gallons if I was driving my Silverado.

The gas generator is quite loud by the way. I was surprised when it turned on because I expected it to be quieter.

405 miles and 1.5 gallons so far… 7.5 gallons to go before we pick a winner!

My guess 3478 miles

I’d bet on that

Does the wife drive the car and is she aware of this contest? I am waiting for you to get in the car and find out it is empty.

Do you track electrical usage?
I would love to see the actual cost of ownership.

yes but I told everyone I would drive it like normal… she already drained once

About 2 bucks a day in electric if you do a full charge each day, which I don’t. I am probably a little more than half that.

Went to the fair to see Blake Shelton with my wife and used a little gas but 616 miles on 2 gallons… I’ll take 308 miles per gallon!

I wonder why they didn’t make it so that the average MPG could go higher than 250?

You should be pushing these in Arcade. With the price of electric dow there, everyone and their Mom should have one

The lifetime mpg for the other guy here who has one since last May is 233 so maybe they aren’t expecting it to go over 250??

Springville too.

Akron also, the town has SUPER low Electric cost

1092 miles… 2 gallons of gas. One of the guys at the store said I have probably only spent around 60 between gas and electric.

Random question whats the warranty like on the batteries in this?

nm 8yr/100k

if it wasnt for the 100K mile I would probably get one. Racking up 30K a yr would kill it in just over 3yrs

Nice! But do a cost of ownership comparison between a comparable sized, fuel efficient GM car (Cruze?) while you’re at it. We know typically it takes years to make up the price premium of a hybrid, but you might be able to show this as much less.

Kindof already been done…
