Name any sport, hobby, craft, etc. that people like to do and i guarantee at least one person has died.
I guess they should not allow soccer games anymore since people have been innocently killed in the stands.
While it sucks that one (maybe two) people died, that is no reason to end it all because of a couple retards.

Stupid comparision, because the root of those other hobbies is not illegal to begin with. Last time I checked, soccer was legal, driving like a fuckstick on public roads was not.
Just because you organized your driving like a fuckstick and get a bunch of fucksticks together to all drive like fucksticks from point A to point B does not suddenly make it legal.
EDIT: Sorry, the word of the day at work today is “fuckstick”.

Did I say I didnt think anyone would? Clearly I assumed this thread was going to take a turn like this, which is why I tried to head it off at the pass.
Dumb fuck.

Im just saying, you knew what you were starting when you posted this.
I don’t get it. We give ricers shit when they try to brag about their street racing on highways, and yet we sanction this type of activity…why? Because you pay a lot of money to “enter” it? It’s just as illegal and just as unsafe.
I think I am growing up or something, because I truly hate this kind of shit…

i was going to make a response, but i got mixed feelings on the whole thing, so im just not going to bother.
OMG cars should go above 60mph becuase they might kill someone!
There are asshats outside of any ‘race’ that drive well about the speed limit and do stupid things at the same time
It sucks that someone died as a result but wah wah wah is all I hear from this thread
here is my take…although sad and tragic the actions of few should not ruin it for all…maybe these type of events need to be more supervised and regulated as they goto from checkpoint to checkpoint…or city to city…or whatever
i dunno, i always look both ways in EVERY intersection before i go through it no matter if the light is green or not
didn’t mommy teach you that when you were little? or maybe she didn’t care enough to teach it??

And if it was your dad who was killed by a guy racing in an organized illegal road race, how would you feel then?

Driving ~10mph over the speed limit, in the fast lane, is ok.
Cars can go above 60. But, in rallies like this, when they go 120+ on a highway with the rest of traffic going 60-70, that is really unsafe…
And anyone who drives like that is an asshole. These rallies seem to promote that kind of driving though…

exactly. If these events were better organized, to prevent crap like this, then I think road rallies would be fine…

However, just because people chose to drive like a fuckstick, doesnt mean that everyone is driving like a fuckstick, and the action of driving like a fuckstick is what is illegal, not driving with a group of similarly sponsered cars from one city to another. I know pleanty of people in these events that do the speed limit and drive like sane humans the majority of the time.
Road Rallies = legal
Fuckstick = Illegal
And yes, fuckstick is definitely the word of the day.
I find some of those bashing in this thread amusing as some of the people I’ve seen drive like a fuckstick out public roads. Lots of hypocrites in this thread (not implying you Jay or VG as I’ve never met either of you that I can remember).

Road rallies are cool in the sense that they allow people with a common interest to share in that together. But, by virtue of it being a road rally, will lead to some of the people, not all, driving like fucksticks (Ill jump on the fuckstick bandwagon.)
I really wish that the organizers of these rallies would take more measures to prevent against people driving like this. I hope this incident serves as a wakeup call…
And, when I was younger, I did some dumb shit. Nothing like what they do on these rallies, but recently, my perspective oh dumb shit has changed. Maybe because I have 2 young sisters who will be driving soon, and the thought of them becoming victims of someone driving with no regard for others literally makes me physically sick…

I hope the same thing happens to someone you love. Ill be the first one there with a tasteless photoshop…

Even you admitted Gumball has become the epitome of the unskilled driving way past their skill level. Then they get in cars that have limits that take truely skilled drivers to handle, and push them to the limit in traffic.
And yes, I’ve broken a vehicle law or two in my time. One of the dumbest I’ve done was take the GTO up to about 150 on a public road. But when I say “public”, it was some long, straight, flat road through a corn field. No cross streets, no houses, the corn hadn’t even come up yet so you could see for miles in every direction. Not a car in sight, and I still think it was stupid, but nothing like doing the same thing on a crowded highway.

:word: kill yourself doing 150 on a country road, not others on a highway.
Thats why I really have very little issue with the (computer generated) race vids that are posted on here by a certain handsome 300z driver. Most are done on zee highway, late at night, with nobody else around…
