ok so I swapped a twin cam s13 ka into my oval track car. it seemed to run ok. oil pressure is good.
took it to the track tonight and its gutless! literally feels like its making 80hp. compression is about 170 across all 4. unplugged the knock sensor, same thing. 75 pounds of oil at 7k, everything seems right. theres no obvious backfire or odd noise.
any ideas on what the issue is? has a "24" ecu, will a "28" make a difference?i would do a full tune up spark plugs ignition if you haven’t already. and check that the SCV valve is installed. with out the SCV you will lose big on the bottom end.

its not bottom end, its all around, but on the track im only running like 4500 to 7000. also its all the same emissions stuff removed and same setup as my brothers car, which is running fine and making good power.
plugs are good and gaped to 30. I’m going to change some stuff in the morning and see what i come up with.
its just weird that theres no excessive smoke or noise. if im wide openit just sounds like im 1/2 throttle
could a timing issue cause the low power? and did you run this motor before and it felt better, or is this the first time with this setup?
