H22a in EK hatch

okay well i totalled my accord and im in the process of pulling the motor out. well i got an offer for a EK hatch, i was wondering how hard is it to drop in the motor, i know i need mounts. but is there a swap guide or DIY? also can i convert my H22 to OBD-II? if not is it hard to get a sticker on the car for inspection?

he has a GSR obd-II but he is taking it out and selling me the hatch

i hit a guard rail, the hatch is $2000

i thought you couldn’t legally do the obd1 into an obd2 car?

You can’t.

Its not that hard to convert the H22 to OBD2. Your going to need a new oil pump, distributor, CPS sensor, and I think thats it. I might be missing one other thing but when I was thinking about doing it, it wasnt all that complicated.

^will that enable it to be inspected legally? i thought you were just not allowed to do it. i’m not sure if that is a concern of the original poster though…

If you hook up all the OBDII junk, then it will pass.

heres an idea

sell the Htwentypoo, grab up the ek. buy a b series or if you got the cash floating around pick up a k series. put ihe on it and be happy. oh ya and dont hit anything with it

why bother swapping h22s in anything? take a light motor with potential out of a light car and drop in a heavy motor with not a lot of potential with a small variety/availability of go fast parts …smart

Eww that kinda looks like alot of work, well see, another clean CB7 shell sounds good to me.
