Curious if any of you guys are experiencing this and what you’re doing about it or if you’ve simply resigned yourselve to a life / future of baldness.
I’ve always had thin hair and maybe I’m being paranoid but the thought of preventative measures has occurred to me recently and I thought this was the best place to ‘put it out there’.
That’s me holding the phone. I am not one for selfies - and this one of me trapped in an elevator downtown was the best I had to show what I am up against. I honestly really don’t give a damn and embrace my growing forehead but, I do use Biotin. I have a vitamin that I take once a day. For the low cost and ease of use, it does make my existing hair thicker, but I really don’t notice any new growth.
I probably won’t do anything drastic to change or alter the natural progression, it just reminds me that I am not a damn kid anymore haha.
I’m not struggling in the head hair department, more so facial hair. While convenient, i’m patchy AF on my face which runs in the family on my dads side. Thanks Dad!
I heard from my ‘thinning’ friends that Biotin and Rogaine help.
I’ll wait patiently in the shadows for a cure to my weak girly beard.
I wish I was going bald so then I could stop hearing “Why do you buzz your head when you have a full head of hair?” “Have you thought about growing it out again?” “Why do you do that?!”
I buzzed my head back in 2007 to have my big head fit into a fitted hat I bought. Since then, it never grew back the same and it was too late to get on the Rogaine (sauce). I gave it my last attempt to grow it out (somewhat) in 2013 and I remember sometimes it looked okay, most other times not. I was thinking about it too much so I decided to accept my fate and just stay with a tight faded buzz and just play with beards and mustaches.
I’m gonna be 30 in November and I still look like I’m 20, my dad is 60 and has full head of hair with only gray in his goatee. My grandpa (dad’s side) wasn’t bald but it probably thinned a little I imagine, he passed away around 87yrs old. So my dad’s side has good hair.
My mom I feel like her hair looks a little thin, she’s like 58 or so, her father was bald, her brother needed bosley in his upper 30s.
I never wear hats, I don’t think that has to do with anything, it believe it’s all genetics, but I thought I was supposed to get my hair genes from my mom’s side.
I almost can’t wait to actually look older because gray hairs make for a more experienced appearance in my field of work lol hvac. Although I don’t think that matters since I kick was and fix everything for pretty cheap either way.
My hair is thinning, and I was worried about it for a while, but in the grand scheme of things I don’t really care about it any more. I started using a treatment and then started reading all precautionary shit, and decided I’d rather be bald than slather myself in god knows what for how long and end up with what ever the next hot new disorder cancer is that’s caused by another medication.
I’ve had grey hair since I was 16, it’s more grey now. Didn’t really bother me until my beard started turning grey… then I said “Fuck it, vanity sucks”, and I’m much happier not worrying about it.
I was put on blood thinners earlier this year (for life), and by the second month my hair was coming out like CRAZY. I have a full head of pretty thick hair… but at the rate it was coming out, I though for sure I’d be bald by now. That only lasted a few weeks though, and I think my body adjusted to the medication …or something.
My hair is starting to grey little by little. I’m 30.
