Hurricane Katrina donations from other countries.
People…it’s called being there for your fellow mankind in their time of trouble. Whether it’s $0.01 or $100,000,000,000,000.00 it doesn’t matter. You’re still helping. The money amount you can donate is so minuscule that you can donate to Haiti AND your average American bum. Although, I generally am FAR LESS sympathetic to the average American bum because you know what? You live in the F’in states. You had your chance at a good education, etc. etc. Regardless, I still donate regularly to the Red Cross, Salvation Army, etc.
Many of these people don’t even know what a book is. Or what a clean hot bath feels. Or what tooth paste is. They don’t have the BASICS. A homeless person in America could technically walk into a store, wash up, and be clean ALL DAY.
And don’t give me any BS. I lived in Ukraine. I was there when I was 6, so I know how hard it can be. And I was just there in August. Guess what? NO HOT WATER unless you have your own heater (which costs $$$).
STFU and donate. Or don’t. Either way, STFU.
