The way I see it is, if you want to donate to something, we have PLENTY of starving/homeless people right here in our OWN country that are very bad off and could use our assistance. I am not saying it is a bad idea to donate if you are willing, but there are def better places the money could go.

BTW, don’t use a text service to donate. Go right to the Red Cross where 100% of your money will go towards the relief.

Ever got a call from the “police or fire dept” asking for a donation? Well the people calling you are not the police or fire dept. They are a privately owned company in the business of placing collections for the local depts. They take $.75 out of ever DOLLAR you donate leaving the real reason you donated left with $.25!!!

Jeeze. Only on shift could a thread made about helping people in extreme need turn into such a negative thing. We may have many people in need in our own country but the US is still the richest county in the world and it wont survive by only thinking about its own interests, just like any other country.

Chances are if someone were to make a thread about donating to the less fortunate here in our own country that everyone is mentioning here, the same people that posted shit in this thread would go to that thread and post about how those people don’t deserve the help because they put them selves in that situation.

Not really going anywhere with that, just felt like pointing it out.
