i know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but how in the hell can you hate this game? by far one of the best games ever made for not just the 360, but all systems.

Rob, man…its not halo 3. Its halo 2.5. If anybody has owned 2, theres no need to own 3. 3, is 2 with a few more levels/items, finished the story, and some better graphics. There isn’t ANYTHING revolutionary about the game. Its not special at all. I played it for 25 min with my bro and got sick of it. The single player is way too linear, especially if you’ve played crysis. It just doesn’t compare. yes its still a good game. Maybe even worth buying, if you have live. But I wouldn’t even put it in the top 5 shooters ever. Maybe in the 10-8ish range at best, just because it is technically a slight improvement over 2. Hell, even the game play was virtually untouched. Just another over hyped game, which delivered on its promise to be a true “halo” game, but didn’t really bring enough new stuff to the series.
ill give you that, but it all comes down to the numbers. if we are talking personal preference, then yes, i could name alot more games that are better than the halo series. if you look at the numbers, halo3 was a best seller for microsoft and a complete bust at the same time. but theres no need to clutter this thread with pointless arguements.
Any game can sell alot if its hyped to death. I still think when it comes to multiplayer death match, its gotta be the best any console has to offer. But thats really all it has going for it in my opinion.

oh i do completly understand that this game was a huge let down compared to what the hype portrayed it.
that was the only reason i bought it, sold it a week later dissapointed

werd… never really got the halo craze. It was an ok game, but never thought it was as good as a lot of people said it was. There are much better multi player games out there.
