hard to find bulbs

looking to replace a few bulbs in the dash of my S13 such as the bulb in the hazzard light button,cruise controls, in dash clock,climate controls… ect…what are the part numbers for these they are such small bulbs i havent seen them in any stores at all, im sure other people would like to know these too as the cars are old and have worn out lights

so anyone know where to get these bulbs ?

ones i am looking for specificly are…

clock light
climate contols
hazzard button
headlight button
on/off cruize controls
ash tray light

Went to nissan today and they dont even have numbers for the bulbs …but you can buy for examle …the whole clock lol the whole hazzard button :expressionless: just if anyone cares to know.

bulb number/size for the clock light is 74 or 37 or 24.
its a wedge bulb that fits into this black base

^this is a pic of the LED wedge bulbs that you can get off ebay. (far right bulb is what you’ll find at crappy tire)

hmm yea my clock light needs to be replaced…but isnt it a big hassle to take the cluster out on an s13?

when i removed my cluster i had to drop the steering column, and to drop that i had to remove the knee panel and the steering column cover to get to the bolts. then just remove the cluster trim and then u’ll see 3 screws that hold the cluster.

hmm i’m gonna have to try that, thinkin of swappin to LEDs, but i dont know how much brighter they are…i’m gonna do some research, i’ve read a whole lot up on civics when i had my EK, but it didnt seem too impressive…

Yeah i hate taking out the cluster its a pain in the ass lol

hey, for the main cluster, all the lights are 194 bulbs? anyone confirm this? and how many would i need? this is for everything except the clock…since the clock I can get a 74 LED…

Yeah you’ll need 3 “194” bulbs for the main bit of the cluster’s back-lighting IIRC.

ah ok thanks~~

Actually there are 3 main 194 bulbs, which light up the gauges (Gas, Speedo, RPM, and Temp.), but there are 5 in total. I replaced mine with white LED’s and they look pretty good much better then the stock ones. I’ll post pictures tomorrow so people can see.

Yeah that sounds right…

ok, im bored…i took some pics and while its uploading i’ll list out what bulb is for what
194 bulbs (5 in total)
-> 3 are used to illuminate fuel level/speedo/tach/temp
-> 1 is for battery indicator
-> 1 is for low gas indicator

74 bulbs (14 in total)
-> 1 clock light illumination
-> 1 gas/washer fluid/hicas/cruise/engine light SYMBOL/SIGNS illumnation
-> 1 ebrake/oil/seatbelt/door open/battery SYMBOL/SIGNS illumnation
-> 1 high beam indicator
-> 2 for turn signal arrow indicator (one left, one right)
-> 1 windshield washer fluid low indicator
-> 1 hicas indicator
-> 1 cruise indicator
-> 1 engine indicator
-> 1 ebrake indicator
-> 1 oil pressure indicator
-> 1 seatbelt indicator
-> 1 door open indicator

one question that still makes me wonder is, did the 89 or 90 s13s have a check engine light indicator?

i ordered some white 194 LEDs off ebay. i bought two types…an inverted type and bulb type.
i only installed the inverted LEDs since they light up wider than regular bulb type LEDs. its weird that the cluster is blue and my LEDs are super white.
also, u can see in one of the pics my fuel/wiper washer indicators are stock colored cuz i dont have the 74 LED bulbs yet, i will order some and test it on the clock light.

^^^CLOCK LIGHT BULB (not supposed to have the blue rubber cap on the bulb…i took it from the other cluster)

^^^inverted LED on the left, stock bulbs in the centre, and LED bulb in the right

i’ll have some test pics of the regular 194 LED bulbs later on when i install my other cluster

hmm yea that is weird, n how come only one needle is white n everything else is blue…but good stuff, hopefully u can find out why it’s blue, then i’d be set to order LEDs

rmallari: i had the same LED bulb as u that i installed on my dash a while ago…(like… last yr) they are gd, but the only draw back is the way LED shine their light differently to the normal bulbs, so there are part of the dash is brighter then the others…(i’m still looking for ways to fix it) as for the Q that u used white LED and they shine blue is becuz on the plastic plate behind the gauge that helps reflect the lights are coated w/ a blue layer, together w/ the condomed 194 bulb they shine the dim yellowish white on a stk dash…

l2iceboy:
i ain’t too sure but i think he missed one of the led or smth

this is how mine looked

Here’s mine with just the 3 main 194’s replaced with blue B1 Hybrid bulbs.

ohh nice jackal…i was ust about to order a set of b1 hybrid bulbs off ebay…was checking here to actually post about it askin if anyone’s tried them lol…nice nice indeed…now my other concern…i tried taking out my cluster today…the struggle of life!!

i unscrewed the knee/bottom cover thingy…then tried pullin out thec luster cover…for the life of me could NOT get it out…so i gave up…cuz the wiper signal thing, and the handle ont he other side that allows the steering wheel to move up n down were in the way…even when moved all the way down…have no idea how that could come out…and i could NOT take out the middle cover behidn the wheel around the hub or wutever it’s called…

i pulled it apart but only the front came out…the back of it was still sticking…so i didnt know what to do n put it all back in…which was a mission itself! took me a lifetime to somehow fit the cluster cover(thing covering the cluster with two screws up top and same piece as the hazard/cruise/light/defroster button panel)…i ended up forcing it in and just screwing it in…lol

my tach needle is acutally burnt (i sunno how…but my other two clusters are clear) thats why its kinda yellowish. most likely it will be replaced with a DE tach when this sohc ka dies -> dohc swap.

also, nice 240km speedo darkforcejackal

Zeta_G -> those are regular 194 LED bulbs in your cluster?

|2iceboy -> lmk if you order some b1 hybrid bulbs in bulk…i’d like 3 194bulbs.

Thanks guys…and l2iceboy you just gotta lower the steering column with the two big bolts underneath. The steering wheel will lower right to the seat and you should be able to get it from there!

Doesn’t make the whole experience much more enjoyable though… :crying:
