hare scrambles anyone?

im looking for some hare scramble events to attend this summer , ive never raced one but willing to give it a try. i basically need to know everything that goes on at the events.

I went to R@D raceway a few times last year with my neighbor to see the races. Bike or quad?

My kid wants to race this year, I am not sure if he is ready yet.

bikes, i have an rmx 250 that is great for woods riding. im sure im not going to be good but wanting to test my skill level.

My neighbor says it’s about $100 to run the first race and then about 40/race after that. You have to join the district you want to race in.

The few I watched last year had skill levels from me(barely able to keep the bike on 2 wheels) to just incredible riders.

If my kid gets into it, i will probably start racing them next year.

check out www.adrenalinevision.com My kids love watching the races on this site.

gncc national in somerset is like may 16th or something like that.

ive been told to avoid that one due to the fact that its my first one, however i did get my ama license this past weekend.

Yeah… I mean its a rough course… pretty rocky, but… you have to get your feet wet sometime. I would defiantly go if I were you… just don’t go out there full force or you will get broke… just go and finish. It will defiantly give you an idea of how much endurance you are going to need for these races.

I raced the GNCC at Power Line Park in St. Clairsville, OH. I thought it wasn’t going to be that bad… until the 3rd lap when my arms were literally numb from driving the Rhino… which lead to me going from 2nd place to out of the race when I bashed a tree and bent my steering really bad :frowning:
