Has anyone ever seen an awesome C4 vette?

i absolutely hate these cars and the majority people who own them

my dads friend had one when i was younger, he used to dog on my dad’s alfa all of the time, prob bc it didnt have a siiiqqqq nasty V8. he took me for a ride in it (when i was younger my dad would take me out all the time in the alfa, through twistie roads, its part of my problem) he hammered on it and i was like “this is it?” mind you, i was only like 12

it was automatic. his name is rick and his wifes name is linda. he had a vanity plate that said “RICKLIN” these are the types of people who own these cars

so no

Nobody on this forum is going to buy a ZR1… let alone buy a ZR1 and then molest the shit out of it.

OP is newman, he does lots of strange things, lol.

I dont think I’d care much about the interior because if rip most of it out.

I wonder if I could make overfenders for a 240z fit.

Jam, the fact that that’s the kind of people that own it is the reason I kinda wanna do it.

You should have seen the look on the 'Vette owners faces when choko came rumbling into Dunkin Donuts one day at a car cruise a few months ago, lol. Noses were up in the air, lol. Those guys take it pretty seriously.

Im thinking black c4, absurdly slammed with tons of stretch and poke over something polished, with huge bushwhacker style flair like this…I couldn’t hate it.

I always thought the ZR1’s were pretty awesome. Like Joelster mentioned, they had bulging rear fenders and and nice set of fat wheels that gave them a good lock stock. Fix the wheel gap and you’re off to a good start.

All the C4 haters in here need to go back to 1984 when this platform debuted. Back then this car was big news with it’s all new chassis and suspension that had it out-cornering the Countach. Off the bat the engines were a bit weak, but keep in mind from 84-96 the 350 smallblock grew from 205hp to 405hp! That’s pretty impressive progress in my book.

Okay, that’s it for my history lesson. It’s just too bad that so many old men tarnished this car’s possitive traits.

Just build what IanK posted. Shit is dope

saw a murdered out c4 on the 198 a month ago driven by some old guy. looked decent actually

The more people say they hate it, the more likely he is to build one

I really want to do that…I’ve wanted to for a while.

I think olive green with black accents and a ls1 swap would be so sick.

This would be a great start…

Use a stroker crank to make it a dohc 383. 600na horse all day long.

LOL, who makes stroker cranks for LT5 motors? It ain’t a small block chevy. I think total ZR-1 production was a little over 6000 units.

i like the style they have, modded would be even better

I think it needs an airdam of some sort. I don’t like how the nose hangs so far forward then comes back. It needs to go out and then just drop down from there.

Calloway made a nose like that…

There are a few guys who have made custom cranks for lt5’s. I thought lingenfelter did one back in the day.

or you could just do up a black C6 like a certain someone here is going to…

It’s either custom built for his shop or he offset grinds a stock one. Either way it won’t be cheap.
