same here. I’m about halfway through my bill cycle, glued to my phone, and have used 500 MB without any wifi access. Thats with taking a trip too, so wasting time in the airports, googling shit around the destination, uploading lots of photos, etc…
Agreed; the only people I know who use an assload of data are the ones who stream pandora or youtube all day while at work 5-7 days a week. Plus with the availability of free wifi in a lot of places, usage isn’t as much as you think.
And the $50 for 1GB is also unlimited calling and texting at any time/to any one.
I could never understand how people use so much data on their phones. I stream pandora A LOT, push 3 gmail accounts and 1 Exchange account, a bunch of facebook, browsing forums, etc… and I am almost always under 2 gigs. I would be surprised if my wife used any more than 500 megs.
I am sure that the wife and I could get the 4Gig plan with plenty of breathing room.
I just popped into John’s account, and using him as an example, he would actually save about $10 a month moving to a new unlimited talk/text and 4GB plan. Hes not coming anywhere near 4GB, but its a nice buffer zone to have.
I think this would actually save my wife and I a LOT of $$ each month; we’re paying ~165/mo right now for our 2 smartphones on a shared calling plan and 2 separate data plans; Our data usage is like 1-2 gigs a month total between us. (And the $165/mo is with my 20% corporate discount on the shared plan and my data plan!)
Edit - maybe not with the $40 per smartphone charge on top of the package price. It’s probably going to be net/net for us.
i can see myself going over 4gb with super busy months. 
oh well, ill come bother you when im ready for an upgrade.
Not the end of the world, overage is $10/GB, or you can always grab a larger plan.
People are always against change when it happens, but once the dust settles I think this will actually be pretty awesome for pretty much everyone, especially considering that over 50% of people in the country use smartphones.
def will be a game changer, im excited and will be switching over to the new plans and dropping my unlimited data and be saving money!!!

i have unlimited an average 7gigs/month as i use my phone as my internet at home (hotspot), with 5 smart phones on my plan we will collectively only use ten gigs ( went on vzw.com and saw data avg’s for past 3 months
