Having trouble with an 01 Eclipse GT 3.0 V6 P0450 P0446

Car in question

So the car was having a problem where it stalled after it warmed up. It had P0450 which it says is the fuel tank pressure sensor. Originally I bought this part from autozone.

Pull the access panel to the tank and there is no sensor there. I end up taking it to a mechanic I trust cause I’m stumped and don’t have a ton of time. He changes what I think is the vent solenoid behind the gas tank. He said his Snap on reader was picking up nothing from it. It is next to the charcoal canister and has vacuum lines and an electrical connection going to it.

The light stayed off long enough that it passed all monitors to pass inspection. It passed evap fully.

The light popped on again but wasn’t stalling so I got it scanned and it came up P0446 and P0450. Then the CEL went off without me turning it off.

Car was running fine for awhile then the light came back on and is stalling again. Does anyone know if that sensor I bought actually belongs to this car? It is the same sensor that is on the intake manifold but I can’t seem to find it in the evap system.

I’m thinking 446 is the filler neck because that is pretty rusty, but I’m wondering if a bad charcoal canister could be causing that.

I am trying to sell the car and thought I had this problem cleared up. This is my busiest time for work and I am getting married at the end of august so money is flying out the door and I don’t have a lot of time. I am sick of dealing with this car as I have work to do on my Audi and my Cobra. Any help would be appreciated as I don’t want to just start replacing things blindly.

I don’t have a solution, but I don’t believe its the canister, I have mine removed

Don’t buy autozone parts they are junk, other then that have you cleared the codes since they came back on the last time to see if the same ones pop on again?

It isn’t a duralast part, it actually has a Mitsubishi logo on it. But that is besides the point, the part I bought never went on the car. The vent solenoid that went on was from the dealer.

Originally I was pulling the negative terminal to clear the code hoping it would stay off long enough to get inspected but it always came back on and then it started stalling. Two footed driving blows haha. It had been good for probably close to 200 miles aside from the CEL coming back on but then going away on its own, and passed inspection after the vent solenoid was installed. Now it is stalling again.

I probably need to have it hooked back up to a good scanner to see if maybe by chance the new solenoid is faulty. I’m wondering if I should take it to the dealer since I really am not sure how to go about diagnosing this. These cars don’t have a big following online, I’d bet most 17 year old girls and old men that have these aren’t working on them themselves.

Understandable, the part could be faulty. Is there any vacuum lines that look cracked, kinda sounds like a vacuum leak. Take it to the dealer and see if they warranty the previous work.
