my passenger side light is out (high beam also)… I replaced the bulb with a brand new one but it still doesn’t work.
this happened last week when the car was broken into… the thief cut all the wires at my amp so I figure he blew a fuse. I checked the main headlamp fuses under the hood, but they’re fine. I haven’t checked every fuse on the car yet, but do you think that’s definatley the problem?
it might be a diffrent fuse, check ur entire fuse box, because some fuses, beleive it or not, wont function untill others will. use a test light or amp meter to find out which one needs to be switched.
Em, check the light harness and connection. Mine was dirty as hell, and I figured water somehow got inside the plug itself and shorted something. It’s worth a try anyways.
You can always try doing a continuity test on the harness to see if there’s any breaks in the circuit. If everything is fine, weed it out to the relay or switch.
Vince, read above where I said I’m clueless about electrical
I don’t even know what a fricken relay looks like or where it’s located.
something’s gotta be shorted out since quite a few of the lights aren’t working.
IIRC, the relay box is located underneith the hood. Possibly in the fuse box.
Relays look like little square boxes about 1"x1". If your fuse box diagram is still ledgable, you should be able to find where the front headlight relay is.
I think your buddy Sanjay can probably help you with the electrical stuff.
i have this same problem but with my passenger side… i just changed the harness for the light cause the old one looked shitty … didint do anything… the bulb is fine. could a fuse really be the problem for 1 light to not function… i dont think that would be the problem… but im gonna check over everything, if all else fails and i need to bring it to a wire specialist anyone know of a good place.
