Well just tried my heated leather last night…pass side works but mine doesnt :banghead Cant really find too much diag on it online, but im going out to mess around with it soon, any idea on where to start? Im going to check fuses and what not, Electrical wasnt always my favorite
I can’t remember what it is(the previous owner told me, but I forgot), but I have the same problem in my S6. My heated seat doesn’t work, but my passenger and rear heated seats work. FML
its the element probably. nicks S4 had the same problem, same as his 200. the driver is obviously the one that will be used most often… have to take the seat apart and replace the element, or find another seat and hope it works.
Yeah it sucks, ill have to take mine out and apart one day and check it out, or see if i can snag one used online
Cant find any info on the element inside the seat…Ugh
Is the element removable at all?
Mint used seats can be found for cheap kidd
Of course… its a pain in the dick tho.
Hahah find me one boss…I have not tried to take it out yet, most likely tomorrow if im feeling the ambition on my day off
the easiest solution is to just get used to things not working.
Haha right, its just the little things that make me angry…like how ive never had a car with a working sunroof, until now…but id like a warm ass/back in the winter
is it at all worth swapping(if possible) the passenger side into the drivers seat till he finds a working one?
Okay i will ask a buddy for ya when i go pick up my MINT santorin fender this week. Driverside, white right? or is it black
Although it likely is the element why not spend two minutes and diagnose it properly before going through the effort of buying a new seat or swapping in a new heating element?
With a side that works and a side that doesn’t it makes it real easy, take readings from the working side and compare it to the non working side, if the grid is OFL or shorted than obviously its that, but than again maybe you just have a blown fuse and it has no power source due a chafed wire somewhere.
