if I’m not threshold braking when I heel toe it just feels awkward. I guess I just have it ingrained in my head that if I’m reaching for the gas with my foot on the brake that I want to be braking as much as possible because if you’re not braking as much as possible at a track day then you got on the brakes too early.
I know how to, I’ve never really tried to though. I know how it is done, just never had a real need to use it street driving. I don’t think as many people who answered yes really do/need to use this. If I was on the road course I could see doing it, but no reason on the street.
I’ll just wait for MPD to set the record straight.
I think my biggest issue with it… is that im not smooth on the brakes as much as i would like to
I want it to be able to have the passenger not notice bouncy braking
Bump because I was bored and looking at YouTube videos, lol.
Neutral is my friend
I need to learn to do this on the bike
Always
Ive seen it done
Never tried though

The RX-8 sucks. It got passed by a FWD car with less rated HP.
I heel toe my automatic
I dont even know why i do it on the street, I just leared to drive like that and its just become habbit, even if im not threshold braking. I also cannot stand not being in a gear and the proper gear at that when coming out of corner, even on the street. Mind you this almost always motivates me to have a more aggressive driving style, lame I know, but its my small bit of entertianment on a day to day basis.
yeah dude, you should always be IN the correct gear before turning into a corner. It’s just good form, you need full control of your car when making a turn just incase you need to pull a fast maneuver for some unforseen reason. Heel-toeing the downshift is definitely as you approach the corner is good for your clutch and smooth for your passengers.
hmmm so when your driving aggersively its cool to not be doing it properly ???
Also the arguement of heel-toeing being overly un-smooth is fucking retarted if your doing it properly
huh?
I rev-match my downshifts, but I don’t heel toe, since I’m not threshold braking on the streetz.
i do this.
rev-match down shifts, but heel-toe when the asshole in front of me slams on their brakes and i have to stop quickly.
I never heel-toe. I mostly double clutch.
God gave you 2 legs, why do you need a third pedal?
