Help!! De Harness Problem.

So i recently had a de swap completed. Motor-set’s in and everything. But came across a small problem. After being forced into getting my motor swap completed by my parents bullshit-douche bag mechanic, he fucked up somewhere. The douche-bag cut the de harness plug which connects to the Ecu, which of course is plug and play right? for when attaching the Ecu. I think he used the Sohc end to connect to the Ecu, because he said it wouldn’t fit. So now theres a few wires from the De harness that should be attached to something but has wires, hanging and are not connected to the plug. The Ecu im using is number 15, im going to try a number 42, which is an automatic Ecu later on today. So now my car cranks, but wont run, unless someone pulls the throttle cable and revs, it. It wont hold idle, slows down and stalls. So I assume theres a serious Vac(s) leak somewhere.

Any other ideas of what could be possibly wrong besides what was mentioned above - or anything else I should check out?

Thx.

kenny call me ill come fix it

if i read that correctly, it sounds like he tried hacking the plug from an SOHC onto the DOHC harness to use a SOHC ecu. you’ll either have to wire the DOHC plug back on or just put in an uncut harness. i don’t think the 42 ECU will plug into the 15 plug.

Fixed problem, harness is ok now, auto ecu, found three major vac leaks, and need to swap in a new throttle position sensor. Thanks for all the help guys.

Awesome.
