I’ve got a Dell Latitude D630 with Vista. When I press the button to turn sound on or off it doesn’t work anymore. It still brings up the menu showing the volume, so the button is responding. Volume up and down works normal. Does anyone know if a setting somehow got changed and how to put it back, or any other ideas?

try reinstalling the QuickSet application from Dell’s website. That is the software which controls the FN keys.
