So I am wanting to buy a winter car from a local in Chestermere.
He has a 1992 Nissan Sentra, I want to grab it so I don’t have to conform to driving my 240 in the stupid snow/winter, so I can park it.
He hasn’t started it in a long time, he doesn’t know what’s up. He told me he’s going to try to put more gas in. He said he threw new spark plugs in.
Anyways, give me (him) some suggestions.
Thank you.
Need more detail…what is the car doing? just not starting period or ?
How long has it been parked? I had a 91 Sentra I had parked for two years and I never added fuel stabalizer and the fuel was like jelly. When I decided to sell it I added fuel stabalizer & cleaner and a fresh tank of gas oh and new battery. reved the piss out of it as it stalled and sputtered I kept restarting it and doing it again. Eventually I could go 30km/hr and it would sputter and I kept driving it until I could hit 60km and drove it around the city…filled up again. Drove more. Took it on the highway…it ran like shit…then another tank of gas and it ran perfect then I did the fuel filter and spark plugs after that.
