Help me source a license plate bracket with lights, please.

The '55 Chevy has no lights for the license plate currently. Stock, they mounted lights in the bumper guards…but this car no longer has those style guards, plus those lights were incredibly weak. So far, this is what I’ve got my eye on…seems like it would do the job. I’ve changed out the brake/taillight to LED, thinkin this would be a nice compliment. Before I pull the trigger on it, anyone have any other thoughts for a nice way to light up the plate?

Here is another option:

But I think I like yours better.

mike, i have the same style license plate holder as the one you show except it uses a regular bulb instead of led. i forget the brand, but i got it from carshop north. k&s probably has em too. im pretty happy with mine, nice and clean look. been on there ~4 years and still looks brand new.

Yeah, I like how the one I linked has the light integrated into the bracket…the only thing I’m wondering is if the 12v bulb is adequate. (it’s not LED)

design it and we can make one when I am back in town.

That first one you posted looks like the ideal solution to me, especially since you have LED tails already.

For $40 I can just buy one…unless you’re throwing some ‘favors’ into the mix.

Here’s another frame…runs the same 12v 3watt bulb (type 561), although not sure how many bulbs. I was just on the phone with their techs (speedwaymotors.com) and they had no more info than that:( I think I may order both frames and just return the one I don’t like.

I believe I mislead myself on that, for these are not LED lights.

if by favors you mean “HJ’s, or hottie phone numbers” yes.

IDK, I would and something maybe battery and solar charged. b/c to keep it clean and, wouldnt want to run and wire. also to over complicate things…

I thought the hj’s went without saying?

Can you do chrome plating to the parts you can make? (<–serious question) And no worries on the wire…can run it behind the plate easily and out of sight.

I bet Luke_L could turn them into LED for a very modest fee.

Good to know, it is getting around the winter… hotties are starting to go into hiding…

Yes, I have someone who can do it for me.

There are so many feastoon LED solutions for cheap <$5. I have bags of them that I have used for dome lights.
