i am helping a friend install a s14 sr20 into a 95 240sx. Basically i have never worked on a 240 (just hondas) and some one hacked up the harness. I have been looking everywhere for a wiring diagram for the swap.If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be great.

This should get you started in the right direction.
I’m moving this to the tech section on SON.
I recommend getting a harness from wiring specialties… out of NY… that will save you a lot of hassles.
^ yeah, if the harness is all messed up get a new one. it’ll just make your life much easier
im also doing a swap really soon, if you need some help on resources, pm me. i should probably start my swap early next week, as soon as i get the motorset.
Unless you are 110% sure you konw how to wire the harness properly don’t. Trust me how shitty wiring leads to shitty everything. One wrong wire and you blow the comp. One bad ground and you are searching for hours to start the damn thing. And did i mention sloppy wiring leads to sloppy everything?
And don’t think it’s gonna save you money to do it yourself. Cause you’ll be paying all it back in fuses, sensors and ecu’s, and alot of broken tools when you throw em cause its 2 am and the fuel pump won’t prime.
Just my opinion but let a pro do it.
truth…
whenever a Nissan is fucked up… it’s the wiring, even when it isnt… it still is.
i thought i blew my motor a couple weeks ago on the street… turns out… random ground was shorting… every single problem i have ever had on any oen of my 240sx’s has always been wiring… ALWAYS!!!
And that’s with harnesses built from the scratch and reputable installation of premium components… doesnt matter… wiring will find a way to fuck you up
agree 100% all my problems this summer was related to electrical or wiring even when it did not make sense it was related to wiring…
i personally think you guys are making it seem a little bit more worse than it really is. i mean, a s14 to s14sr swap wiring doesnt envolve a lot. I mean im pretty confident in my electrical skills, but i have never done this before either. If you can repair circuits (basically starting from stratch) then troubleshooting someones work should just be time consuming.
I re-did most of the Zenki (WC) wiring into my 96 Le. I compilied all the information into the underdash wiring portion and the main harness. If interested let me know and I’ll send you what I haveLeave email address.
