ok so iv been having a problem with the lug studs on my civic. about 3 weeks ago i noticed that i had lost 1 stud on my passenger front and rear wheel. i took it in to the shop and he ended up replacing 5 total on the passenger side. so now that i have my car back i drove it for about a week and now i noticed that 2 have snapped off the front driver side wheel. whats the deal here? my car is dropped 2" all the way around and i have a set of stock nissan sentra rims that i picked up on the board. there are also spacers behind the wheels that were there when i bought the car. anybody ever have this problem? is it due to wear and tear or is something else going on here that im missing?
over torqing the lug nuts?
who needs studs? fuck em.
^^trust me, he fucks his fair share of studs… dude, just replace em all and be done with it.

:word: Good way to solve the problem.
Do you own a torque wrench?
Sometimes people way, way, waaaaaaaaaaay over torque wheel lugs.
You only need about 80-90lb/ft.
well i discovered the problem, being as my wheel fell off today trying to take my car to the shop. it was a combination of, tuner lugs, wheel spacers being used on stock wheels and the fact that the tuner lugs only grabbed about 3 threads on the stud. i was on the 90 by the william street exit when i felt a horrible wobble and pulled over immediately. its in the shop now and im having all the remaining tuner lugs replaced and all of the snapped/ stripped studs replaced.
