HELP!! Steering Angle Spacer

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v229/sil8ty/IMG_4367.jpg

the inner tie rods do not have enough thread to correct toe. the increase rack length has created toe-in. does anyone have experience with this?

i bought a dmax/stance style steering angle spacer because it doesnt sacrifice thread engagement between the rack and inner. however this style of spacer adds 30mm to the length of the rack and is the cause of this problem. it might have to do with me having adjustable outers which are probably longer than stock.

Hey,

I have a set of inner tie rods that are the same thread pitch and thickness as s14 inner tie rods but much shorter. I didn’t realize this and was puzzled with a shit load of toe out when I did 5 lug. Realized the inner’s I had were way shorter than they s14 (pic comparison below). So, if you want them you should be able to use them. The problem with using them is you must match the outer to whatever the inner is (Outer ball joints are the same, but where the inner threads into the outer is different) so if you’re using s13’s outers, you’ll have to change to s14.

I thought they were z32 inners but apparently those are longer that s14 inners. I have never seen a pair so I can’t really comment. If I knew what they were I would definitely tell you. If anyone knows feel free.

Yep. Mine was the same way. I managed to get the jamb nut so far down it was pretty much off the threads on both sides of car then outters spun down to match. It was litterally just enough to get it going straight. I was thinking about removing the jamb nuts then just putting a few spot welds on once the alignment was dead nuts straight.
