Help with 2006 Saturn vue

Very good friend of mine has a 2006 2.2 4cyl manual Saturn vue just hit 100,000 miles and recently it’s given him some trouble so we’ve been trying to figure it out. Cel is on but the car isn’t pulling any codes. Starts up rough but then idles decent. After it warms up it won’t rev past 2500 mph and won’t go over 30 mph. Replaced all the spark plugs and checked the obvious. Any ideas???

Maf sensor

You think? The low engine power light comes on after it warms up and won’t go past 2500 rpms too

It’s a common problem with the 2.2’s and they normally go before 50k miles. Sometimes they won’t throw a code.

Interesting but it makes sense I can’t find one anywhere only relays any clue where to get one ??

If you know someone with a cobalt/ion or something with a 2.2 you could just swap it out to make sure, but I’m pretty sure that’s the problem.

Gm parts direct is usually the cheapest.

awesome thanks for the info man. Will check back when I try this

A shitty option is cleaning it, but may buy you some time for a 3$ can of cleaner.

you can use electronic contact cleaner in a can to clean a maf sensor.

I have done it on ford mafs before no problem.

Sometimes that works.

Also don’t use an oil K&N filter, use the standard air filter.
