ok so we have a total of 5 or 6 in the house at any givin time, we share the internet with the family downstairs, at most there is 3 pc’s and the 360 but when that happens i get a horrible signal and everything is choppy. is there a way to set the router to make most of the bandwith go to the 360 when its on? and how do i do that…
Maybe making permanent ports for the 360 open will help? it helped me, but im no expert.
i have no idea how to even do that… and i can have the 360 wireless or wired doesnt matter
You need a router that supporst QoS to optimize what traffic gets priority on your router. Also, make sure you forward your Xbox ports for Xbox live to speed up match making and stuff online.

Throw Tomato on that router and you should be able to customize it all you like. I put it on mine just to boost the signal, but I believe they have QoS.
DD-WRT also does it, but I found that to be such a pain to setup and unstable. Tomato rocks.
