So i bought a car in georgia when i moved down there, however there is a lean on the car from the dealer which i am paying on but in georgia you can not get the title until the vehicle is payed off.
So how do i register this thing in nys? According to the nys dmv website i need

If the vehicle is purchased from a dealer outside New York State
USED:
a. an original out of state title or transferable registration , showing transfer
b. bill of sale
I have the bill of sale but lady at dmv says i need the original title, which i cant get until the lien is paid off… I called GA DMV and they can give me a certified copy of the title but that isnt the original and i know nys dmv will not accept that…
