My ex girlfriend’s father served on the Jury. He is a pretty intelligent and level headed man. Simply a case where the prosecution failed. OJ also got away with it, but like OJ, this guy is going to be cleaned out in the civil trial. His life is destroyed either way.
He’s not going to get cleaned out in a civil trial. The judgement in a situation like this is predicated on the suffering experienced by the victim. She did not suffer at all. I predict a $250k-$500k settlement, which his insurance will cover.
He’s going to get his ass raped
Word is, if he retires early (takes his pension now), he collects 27k/month for a while. Rediculous.
Did he transfer everything to his wife’s name the day after the accident? snky
Move to Florida, buy a big house, homestead it, invest in annuities, and life insurance.
All of which are asset protected … Vq is right, this guys pocketbook will be fine… His life will still be ruined though. It’d be tough to live with this. Ps this guy is a Dr, he’s used to getting sued, I bet he has an asset protection/estate planning attorney that’s already prepared for the civil suit.
Hopefully his insurance had high limits for the parents sake , too bad it won’t fox the void in their life though. Sad.
I would probably take my own life if I were responsible for taking the life of an innocent child.
all details aside,
a party was in bad taste.
There’s a link on wgrz.com to an interview with the foreman from the jury, it’s clear to see how Corasanti was found not guilty on all counts after listening to this bumbling moron try to spit out a coherent sentence while making up words and a new vocabulary along the way. Usually one shows some great intelligence in the deliberation room to be selected as the foreman to read the verdict. This guy sounds like the village idiot, saying he was “in awe” of the defense team. Give me a freaking break. I understand this whole reasonable doubt aspect, but these juries need to use some common sense when weighing the evidence.
I saw that on Chan 2. Yes that guy sounds dumb. Listen to what he said at 1:20
It was a BMW not a bus old man…that being the case he should have known

Yeah, I’m thinking the jury had to have things read three times and probably took notes in crayon. The jury Foreman sounded like the type of guy to ask “what do you think I should write on my slip, not guilty?”
That was painful to watch, that was a defense attorney’s wet dream for jury…
It’s because most reasonably intelligent people find a way to get out of jury duty in the selection process.
when you hit something in a bus. this guy sounds smart
All that stupid fuck kept saying is “I think its possible” to every question. He didnt give her one straight answer. Jesus no wonder why he won, they selected incompetent retarded assholes to serve as jurors in which im sure somehow corasanti found a way to pay off.
no need to pay them off.
probably for a Klondike bar…
I know I know but it sits better with me thinking he did.( my cousin was killed by a drunk driver who fled the scene back in october)
“We find the defendant…Quilty.” Pretty much sums up the jury in this case.
Holy shit, I feel dumber for just listening to that guy. What a moron.

Hitting someone in your car and didn’t “hear” it or know it… If you can hear your car hit a pot hole or someone beep at your from behind, you can hear a body smashing the front end of your car in. How the fuck does driving a bus and hitting something have anything to do with it?

At an event where he was known to be drinking, refusing to give a Breathalyzer, and then registering a .10 5 hours after the crash, but they refuse to believe the blood test as it could have “possibly” been contaminated. But then convict him on the misdemeanor charge of DWI due to the field sobriety test? What the fuuuuucccckkkkk
Good thing I was not on the jury…we would still be there
