Neon Driver Charged - You know him! With Pic

http://www.buffalonews.com/258/story/366858.html

Christopher Mejak has been charged with two counts each of manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide, plus charges of unlawful speed contest, reckless driving and speeding.

idk about that. if i’m racing some dickhole and i crash, it’s my fault, not the dickhole’s

^ totally agree.

But then again, the other people paid with their lives, not jailtime.

fucking stupid how this system works. he should be charged with speeding and illegal speed contest because that’s all he did.

What have we learned? Don’t come forward.

also named in the case: paul walker

WoW.

What happened to the other car in the Nick Hogan case? Was he caught? Did he get charged?

Edit: Other driver was Daniel Jacobs and is being sued by Hogan’s passenger.

Agreed^ this is a traffic accident and should be treated like one, driver was at fault.

That’s fucking BS.

WOW he had an ACD for racing too. So that’s opened back up.

It’s not a repost as this article is dated 6/10. Obviously, same topic though.

The article states it was UPDATED 6/10.

In fact, read both Buff News article links side by side. They are almost identical.

Read the first few posts of the link I posted. That is about all that can be gleened from this topic.

Then feel free to read the following pages of idiotic bickering about things which the participants have no clue about.

There, I just summarized what THIS thread will be within 10 hours.

Moved to OT.

If you wanna have the same arguments, go for it.

I hope a few members actually learn from this.

learn not to drive neons

the neon driver had an outstanding speeding ticket that got an 1 yr adjournment…so maybe that had something to do with the all the penalties…not that i agree

At the time of the crash, Clark stated, Mejak had a pending case in the Town of Lancaster for a previous charge of unlawful speed contest. He had been given a one-year adjournment in contemplation of dismissal last September, meaning that the charge would be dismissed if he stayed out of trouble for one year.

That adjournment has been revoked, and that case now will be reopened, Clark stated.

Mejak, who pleaded innocent at his arraignment today, has a felony hearing on the new charges scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Monday in Town of Lancaster Court.

All I’m going to do is add cliffs of my posts from the last thread.

  1. I personally think the charges are BS based on the whole “he wasn’t forced to race” thing.
  2. I think a good lawyer will probably get him out of the real serious charges, but it will come down to jury selection. The idiot basically being on street racing probation when this happened will not help him with jury sympathy.
  3. I’m capable of setting aside my personal feelings enough to understand how he could be charged under the statute. Is it stretching the letter of the law? Maybe. But that’s what we have trials for.
  4. If you don’t like it, take it to the track.

Not a single lesson was learned by anyone on here though…

even if this kid is the biggest douche in the world he doesnt deserve manslughter charges. The kid’s life is ruined either way.
