I knew her, used to work where i do, was texting her two nights ago.

If you’re drinking, dont drive.

R.I.P.

Wow

Scumbag piece of shit.

1: Shouldn’t be allowed out of jail until trial.

2: No prison time, death penalty. Girl didn’t have a chance and was only 18.

Super shitty :frowning:

RIP. thats sad.

Worst part is he’s a doctor. Who knows if she would have had a chance had he stopped and tried to help her.

^my doctor. Prominent GI specialist, tough to grasp it actually happened. RIP

so much for that oath they take.

so much for being a doctor now…

terrible story.

I agree he should not be allowed out of jail until the trial. He fled the scene of an accident that killed someone so he obviously is a scumbag.

Prison time is better. He had a well respected career and position. Now be can sit in jail, be sued out the ass civially for millions and see how his career he worked his whole life for is gone.

Pleading not guilty and fleeing the scene…what a POS. So sad to see a young life taken by this kind of bullshit.
THIS is why I get angry at people drinking and driving. It’s not that they could kill themselves, but rather then can and sometimes do rob an innocent kid or family of their lifes. Drunk driving is inexcusable and I can’t stand when people are like “it was an accident, you have done it too, don’t judge”. It’s not an “accident” because HE could have prevented if he was a responsible human being. I HAVE NOT driven drunk EVER. Life isn’t a fucking game. RIP

Knew her mother that works at Eagle House… Super shitty… :frowning:

Who the heck rides there skateboard at 11:30 at night. RIP Maybe she fell into the road? Either way its a scumbag move leavingthe scene

a girl who has to get home from work and that doesnt have a car.

Do you one better. All his possessions are sold off and the proceeds go to the girls family. Next, 14 hours per day hard labor (digging holes, breaking rocks, shoveling snow) for life.

I think if you get caught drinking and driving, it should be immediate revocation of your license for 10 years. Happens again, then the only form of transportation you can take is public transportation and absolutely no chance of ever getting a license again. That doesn’t include the jailtime and fines. If something like this happens…you become the public’s bitch. Clean up neighborhoods, paint, shovel, w/e, all in a pink jumpsuit. Then at night you get to sleep in a cell.

He saved my niece’s life. Literally. Definitely not standing up for him though… This is so fucking terrible for everyone.

It seems to me that him being a talented doctor that helps people and a drunk driving murderer are somewhat mutually exclusive.

Our justice system doesn’t deliver justice for anyone. If I ruled the world (and I should) he would never drive again, would have to take a breathalyzer before working every day, would continue to practice medicine, and most of his pay would go to the family and AA programs.

If he really is a top notch doc at something, it seems a waste to have him “breaking rocks” for a living. That’s not justice, it’s vengeance, which doesn’t bring back little girls.

Why does it matter. Either way, someone was hit by a car/truck and died. They could have been walking, same thing would have happened. If someone doesnt have a car or saves money on gas/miles they generally ride something. (bike, skateboard, rollerblades) People like this should be hit by a car them selves repetively. But I would rather see this guy sit in jail for life to do nothing but look at bars and see his life go down the drain.

This happend not even a street away from my old house.

Rip, I Cant imagine the pain of the family in loosing a 18 year old daughter.

Ya now that is prison. Go back to the old days where they are out working on shit. Not sitting all day online watching TV and hanging out.

Would you really go to a doctor who was all over the news for not only driving drunk and killing a 18 year old girl, but leaving the scene and not taking accountability for it? If he was just caught driving drunk, people make mistakes but I don’t think I could go to him no matter how good he was.
