Heres a reason to not drink and drive (Hit and run) (Corasanti trial)

The car or the hypothetical house?

Either way if the deal was right, yes. You cant attach emotions to purchasing decisions that large (at least from where im standing in life right now). I dont oppose Onyxs statement though. I understand what a sensitive issue the whole thing was to the community.

From a business perspective once the news picked this up they should have dumped it auction in another state.

My father inlaw bought a house from a sale where the guy committed suicide and hung himself in the barn. He said the deal was too good to pass up lol.

David, does Uncle Jim know you’re playing on forums during work?

:stuck_out_tongue:

How’d he do both?!

Killer deal eh?

dont be a nancy prog

lol yeah, killer indeed

I’m agreeing (just this once) with LZ on this one. Based on the local involvement with this I think it might have been wise to just move it elsewhere. May have been a bad business decision to list it locally. Not saying it should be shredded per se but…

I can’t ever see myself wanting a 7 series, but if it was something I wanted and a good deal sure.

I’m kinda shocked a big time gun guy like yourself is on this side of the argument. The car isn’t a killer anymore more than a gun is. It was the person behind the wheel that committed the crime. Associating inanimate objects with crimes they get used in is the main argument of the anti gun lobby.

I can certainly see this side of the argument. Not sure how to feel. It’s not the object itself, just knowing that the object reminds you of the incident itself. Would you realistically buy a gun or guns involved in a crime as terrible as Sandyhook?

This is like the argument if guns kill people or people kill people.

inanimate object didn’t do anything

If someone can’t handle owning a car (or gun or house) as it reminds them of an incident or somehow makes them feel guilty they simply shouldn’t buy. I think the best suggestion in here has been to sell the car out of the area, this would have eliminated all backlash. Of course with a house this isn’t realistic but a car or gun…sure. That said I would buy anything without feeling any emotional baggage as long as the price was advantageous to my financial situation.

It wasn’t this

That’s not the point. It’s about showing respect to her and her family.

Should the country club stop selling whatever drinks/wine they served to Corasanti before he hit her?

The car physically hit and killed the girl. Show her and her family some respect and get rid of it. Simple as that.

For anyone not keeping up on the facts.

Jim Ball allegedly didn’t know it was his car until recently as it was a lease car without his name on it.
They had the car for sale on consignment from the lease company.
As soon as they found out it was the car in question is was pulled and sent back to the lease company for them to sell outside WNY.

Some creepy collector from the southtown was trying to buy the car to add to his “museum” and they denied him because they wanted nothing to do with the car.

I think they should close off the block where the accident took place, just to be sure it never happens again there.

Maybe petition BMW to retire the 7 series model entirely now that one has been involved in a fatal pedestrian accident. Seeing a 7 series is just going to remind people of this case.
