so i drive a hatchback. its cool. the rear speakers are 4x6 stock, fuck that noise. do not want, too much treble
what i want to do, is mock up some 6x9’s in boxes on either side of the hatch. now, what i was thinking, is i could also attach these boxes to hardware that would slide out, from the base, lift up 1.5 to 2 feet (i was thinking metal pipes with holes drilled in that i could put pins in, nothing fancy) and also rotate 90* so if im bbqing at the ridge, or at a party or something i could pop the hatch, set this shit up and bump till the sun goes down
im not worried about the boom boom bass, i already have that shit covered
give me some ideas as to how to get this shit accomplished! thanks
Jam ive got some pioneers in boxes already that were in my old EF
you can have them for $10 if you want em to use for your build or something.
if not, I could get you some outside dimensions on the box’s and stuff.
A ghetto cheap way to do this would be to mount everything to a piece of wood used for a spare tire cover, this way its removeable and you can build it outside the car.
You could use the pipe like you said and just use a bolt or something, take them out, spin the speaker replace bolt enjoy.
this would be the cheaper more country fried way to do it.
i dont think you should make any kind of fancy extendospinistructure. id put a small cheap amp on them and some real long speaker wire so you can put em on the roof or tailgate or wherever the fuck, facing whichever way =]
