Hi guys,

I’m from Hamilton and am re-starting work on my 1990 240SX coupe.

I had originally bought a CA18DET for it incomplete, and spent 2 years sourcing all of the sensors and wiring for it, only to find the motor was already pooched. It idled for about 10 minutes with a serious rod knock, and then threw a rod in the #3 cylinder.

After sitting for another couple of years, a friend of mine and I decided to attempt to resurrect the 240, so I’ve picked up a silvia front end, and a clip from a JDM S14. I’ve got the car completely stripped right now and have some serious rust repair to do… Canadian winters can really do a number on a car over 18 years!!!

The car doesn’t look like much right now, but we’re hoping to have a nice clean VVT coupe in the future. I’ll post some pics of the build.

I’m a member of the SON board, but thought I’d sign up here as an additional source of information, parts, etc.

I have some things left over from my S14 clip and from my old CA swap that I will post for sale.

hehehe… Yeah, I hope it turns out nice. My projects usually take quite some time, but I’ve been happy with them in the end…

… put new rotors on it last week… thank God for friends with hoists!:R

Yeah, I think you did… but your buddies picked them up, right? Hope the parts are working out for you.

BTW… that’s not my coupe… mine is the rust bucket a couple of posts above… in my dreams it looks like that though :smiley:
