Hi all, im Adam - I got introduced to ptitspeed last night at the world of wheels show and I got to talk w/ darkstar and see some of the rides on show - I was impressed :bigok:
Anyway this is me:
Im 17 and I drive a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon GT-V6
Its still getting broken in - so no mods (seatbelt pads and floor mats ) I’m going to be ordering a GReddy EVO2 exhaust at the end of the month though and a CAI soon following
My last car had a lot more done to it htough, it was a 1976 Porsche 912E w/:
New power window motors
New soundsystem:
MTX 421D Thunder AMP
ALPINE Head unit
10" AUDIOBAHN Sub [custom made box]
2x 6.5" ALPINE speakers
2x 6.5" INFINITY speakers
TSUNAMI Power Pumper Capaciter
TSUNAMI Wiring / Rockford Fosgate Wiring
Custom painted brake calipers
Replaced the tires
SACHS HP Clutch
Fuel Injection system replaced with Weber Carbs
The carb conversion didnt go over well so the car had to be put away until summer when we have the time and patience to work on it
If you guys got any questions on porsche stuff I can probably help out a lot more with that then anythi else I know about
My dad is a purist - so I consider myself kind of a wierd tuner type since I have roots in these old old cars (first car was a 78 beetle cab, no joke) and have such an affinity towards the new asian coupes (and 4 doors in the case of the EVO and STi :P)
I’m still learning but I hope that I can get my act together quick enough to get some work done on my ride before summertime.
My first question is:
I want to get a GReddy EVO2 Exhaust, the piping is 60-70mm
That should be enough for a s/c right? But for more boost I need a bigger exhaust right? If someone could just clear this up I’d really appreciate it, I’ve gotten mixed answers
Thanks a lot guys, look forward to talking more on the forums
my buddy used to have one of those GTs, it was a pig, but that CAI sounds pretty different compaired to any other car ive heard with one on it… still sweet loooking cars… handle pretty fucking well for a 3000lb car, over dampened in my opinion, some stiff springs would do that chassis well.
Ever heard of Shark Tuning? or something along those lines? there a Tibby/Hyun tuner… check em out, make some cool shit.
