I just purchased a '06 Sentra SE-R Spec V and I am looking for a good group of guys/gals to learn and hang with, hopefully I found the right spot!
What i would like to do with the car is to learn how to drive it, hopefully I can make some track days and/or autocross meets, I have put on 1100KM so far, so to say I’m a newb to it is a understatement!
sooo ya, hopefully I can make some meets and mingle!
Welcome to the forum and hopefully the club as a full member. Yes, you have found the right group to hang with. Keep an eye out on the forum for our upcoming events and we’ll see you soon.
There are a few of us Spec owners around here, so if you need some advice on anything or if we can help you get more out of your drive, let us know and we’d be happy to help!
Welcome… Break her in easy… And Kris & Nick are the big experts. I’m just a poser who has to put naked chicks in his sig to make people look at his spec :finga:
Welcome since ragerman (Ryan) failed to mention our online names I’m Nick and PyreXXX is Kris.
Anyhow I am happy to see so many Spec’s starting to get into the Scene, you have a good car on your hands and honestly drive the car like you plan on driving it. I don’t mean mash the pedal to the floor and bang it off the rev limiter, cause the fuel cut off comes like an angry bitch slap on the face, and your car is still in the “break in” period. Anyhow give it some gas and run the car through the rev range at around half throttle you have put enough kms on the car now that everything should be seated properly. Anyhow your car will bring you lots of smiles.
What color is your Spec? Do you plan on modding the car at all because I highly suggest removing the Stock header ASAP and putting on something like a Nismo header and a Nismo Exhaust. Anyhow welcome to the club.
I will try to work on the names but I think i’ll need to have you peeps put on some name tags at meets
The colour is “Ebony” soo ya black.
I am planning on modding the car, just not at this moment, as for a new header, I have read that the pre-cat blows up and wrecks the engine? i guess they haven’t fixed that problem quite yet then?
will just a header bolt up to a stock exhaust or do you also need an after market one to get the header on correctly?
No Nissan has never “fixed” the precat problem. And any header will bolt up to you stock exhaust. The DC one will completly remove both your cats :E Come out this sunday and show the beast off. You can meet the other owners and see examples of differnet mods.
sorry i missed the meet, got in from calgary late and the gf wanted to go out and have dinna and a movie, but i did see another spec v that was yellow with the nismo colours on the hood and a rh drive 180 near wem, if that means anything=P
