High End PC

Ok, its about that time of year again. I’m lookin to upgrade soon (month or so)

Here’s what its got:

Processor: Intel C2Q 9300
Motherboard: Intel DP45SG
Ram: 4GB OCZ Fatility DDR3 1333
Graphics: ATI HD4850. Asus TOP OC'ed flavor
Optical Drive: LG Blu-Ray/HD DVD reader, DVD/CDRW
HDD's: 1x500GB, 2x1TB. All Seagate Retail drives (5 year warranties)
PSU: 700w modular Rocketfish PSU
Network: DWA-552 Dlink Wireless N Extreme
Case: Rosewill TU-155-P
OS: Windows Vista Ultimate and/or Windows 7
Mouse/Keyboard: Microsoft Wireless 6000 v2 Laser Mouse/Keyboard (barely used,
                 still in original box/packaging)

Right now the computer is just a HTPC. I play games once in a while on it (Grid, Trackmania, and Emulators) but for the most part it plays blu rays/hd dvds, browses the internet, downloads tv shows, and houses my music collection to share throughout my network.

Its dual booting Windows Vista and Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (Vista is a legit copy that you will get the physical disc/license for, 7 expires in march of '10. For windows 7 all devices work 100% even in 64bit. Obviously they all work in vista as well.

For cooling there’s 3x80mm fans (1 in rear and 2x in front). I also put the stock intel cooler from a q6600 on the processor instead of the stock 9300 (thicker and keeps it ~10*C cooler). Plus there’s an Antec spot cooler over the north bridge.

I’ll get pics and 3dmark06 results soon (i’m packing and moving this weekend) but i just wanted to try and gauge interest. I also still have the boxes for the case, motherboard, graphics card, psu, wireless card, and i think the processor.

As for a price, for everything new on newegg.com, even with MIR’s and free shipping, your still spending 1400$. The hard drives are only 2 months old, and everything else was bought about 6 months ago. I would like to get 1200$ if you take EVERYTHING thats in it. If you dont need certain things, specifically the wireless card and the 2tb of hdd space, i would drop it down to ~925$. Either post up here or send me a pm if interested.

bump… needs money for R/C madness

The man makes monster machines, and is a GREAT resource. Ive been gaming on his old HTPC and it still runs fantastic. Great product and great seller!

lol, or for a supercharger

Thanks a lot. Its nice to hear its still running strong for 'ya. I’ve been building these computers about ever 6 months, and i never use them to their potential.

Added the mouse/keyboard. Its been sitting in the box for about a year. i take it out every so often to test it and verify it works. I loved using it for gaming when i did a lot of gaming, but going FT at work, i dont get enough time anymore.

glws, possible to post some pics up please?

Sell me one of the TB drives.

Bump, just because I like your avatar!

Lol, thanks. ^^

I’m also not going to seperate the 2tb of hdd’s. either both of them go or they both stay.

Also, i just moved and my internet wont get turned on until wednesday. i’m piggybacking off of someones internet right now, so i’m not going to upload photos.

I did however run 3dmark06. in windows 7, with the CPU and GPU at stock clocks, it scored a little over 12500. The CPU stock is 2.5, i’ve had it to 3.3 stable for a week (took it off because it was unnecessary) and the 4850 has a lot of room left to go up, esp with the ASUS HS+F. More test results coming Wednesday!

Bump. c’mon i need money…car needs some work.

im working on uploading pics now, but heres the first 3dmark06 test on 100% stock clocks. going to play around with it tomorrow to see what it’ll peak at. (this is windows 7 btw) Also want to point out that with this computer on stock clocks, it’s only ~500 points lower than my last pc, that had 8gb of ram, and the q6700 OC’ed from 2.6 to 3.6 ghz.

ugh, why must you tempt me

You gotta know someone that will buy the other one to offset the cost

Here are some pics of the computer, and the boxes i have.

bump

bump. I really need to get rid of this/need money. If you at all interested pm me or post as im sure we could work something out.

Talk to be baby, show me whatchu got

bump because i looked, i want a new desktop but this might be a bit too much for me

Just to give you an idea of how low im willing to go right now, let me keep the 2tb drives (still leaves you with 500gb + an available esata port and plenty of usb for external, quick access storage options) and you can take it for $850, and ill deliver it. (that includes the pa/ny border  )

thinking about it, really a cp newb as most the time i just buy a prebuilt model from best buy etc

so all i would need is a screen and it would be a fully functional (and badass) desktop? does it have hdmi output etc?
