just flushed my rad, changed the coolant.left my car idling for over 10 minutes, with the heat on high.is it suppose to read at almost (hot)?also changed my thermo stat to but, waiting for my new rad to come in today?is this normal?
No, it’s not normal. However, you most likely just didnt get all the air out of your system. If you want to be lazy about it, instead of re bleeding it a million times, fill up the reserve tank a bit past the full line, and drive your car, at various RPM’s (nothing above 4k though). It will eventually bleed itself. Don’t let it stay close to the “Hot” on the gague for more than like 3 mins though. Find a nice deserted road or something similar where you can stop and shut the car off when it hits H if necessary, and let it cool down for a few minutes.
This is of course, assuming you don’t have any coolant leaks. If thats the case, forget everything I said and fix those first, lol.
changing my rad now. lets see how it goes.thanks dan
fans? if it only happens on idle i would say its the fans does this happen while driving around or only while parked at lights?
