Let me start out by saying I hope the kid is ok. Now let me continue with GET THE HELL OUT OF THE STREET! Seriously, when did the side walk become “not cool”. Its a mental issue or something. I dont get it. WHYYYYYY THEEEEEE HEEEEELLLLLL ARE YOU IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET. Im glad they caught the guy but these people should also have charges pressed against them for being in the road. If I was the drivers lawyer Id say my client was spooked because he saw them at the last second and tried to dodge them. They ran out infront of my bumper sir.

If they would have been on the sidewalk then theyd be fine

ALSO, why is there 50-60 people walking around in the road at 1:30AM
GO TO BED and get some sleep for your job in the morning.

Maybe Buffalo should just reverse things. Have the cars drive on the sidewalk all the time since everyone is always walking in the middle of the street.

The reason they are up at 1:30 AM on a Monday night is because they don’t have jobs to wake up for…that part of Grant is pretty lousy…

Also, there is some really sketchy bar down Letchworth by dart from what I remember which may explain the 3am mass of people.

Yea, leaving the scene is bad but…if he would have stayed he would have been killed…really. If that were me Id leave but drive straight to the police station. Your gonna get caught, everyone gets caught. Might as well turn yourself in, avoid another charge and be in the safe warm hands of the cops

I keep watching this and cant look away. The car cuts between two people and just takes out that one dude.

I also like they kept the video ID so you can see who exported the video from the Buffalo Police.

They wouldn’t have been ok on the sidewalk. The car is clearly traveling pretty damn quick, hops the curb and jams these dudes. Looks like the guy in the car would have had a red light as well.

+1 on not walking in the street.

He was definitely moving! Judging by the angle he cut the wheel at the last second. Id like to know where he ended up. Across the street are trees and a building

I wonder if the driver knew them? Maybe they were all coming from a party and they got into an argument. Possible

With that angle of hit, speed, time of day, and location there has got to be a simple explanation for it.

That’s what they were speculating. Apparently the dude that got hit was released from the hospital shortly after arriving. They also caught the 19-year old driver. From the video I would say that the driver appeared to be targeting these guys?

In that part of the city people walk in the street at night because it’s better lit and safer than the dark sidewalks.
