HKS USA Closing

Posted this on son`s blog section but it doesnt show up where I thought it would.

We are not surprised either. With eBay saturated with shitty Chinese knock offs and a weak US economy leading to even poorer kids trying to mod their cars, it’s just not worth it for HKS to hang around and maintain offices in the US. Serving the US from Japan is probably a really smart move on their part. HKS is an incredibly strong and wealthy company in Japan, and I don’t think that this has anything to do with the overall health of the company, but they are merely cutting off a pesky cyst to improve the overall health of the company.

Good move on their part… what will this mean for warranty, product support, etc? Idk, but I do know that we will be just that much further behind the east in terms of product development and such.
:frowning:

bump…

this just popped into my mind again.

Matty, whose comments are those about this being a good move?

yours?

I happen to think it’s a terrible move and brought on by shit management and implementation. Blaming the market is BS. It’s always the company’s own fault for a lack of success.
