i added crown molding at the ceiling too.
edit: and I think the curtains and rug would really warm and lighten the place up.

ive taken a liking to textured paint patterns. i would look into doing that if i were in ur shoes. i think that its an inexpensive way to really liven up a dull looking room.
im planning on adding a texture… ryan has a wealth of knowledge there… so i just need to find a color first then figure a texture out…
