Homeowner Crew: STAR Rebate Checks on the way

Why do you say that?

You own your own business and the pictures of your new house lead me to believe that it is successful. It is an assumption on my part, but you must make more than $250k/year.

If I am assuming incorrectly, then you should get a check too.

if i made over 250k a year, had an amazing house, and fucked around on the internet all day arguing politics with poor people, i sure wouldn’t cry if the gvt shorted me 500 a year on rebates

lol

you bitter bitter man

i dont get my check till next year … :gotme:

how are you guys finding out how much your getting back? i got the app in the mail and i just applied online. nowhere did it say how much i was getting back, all it said was that id have a check within 3weeks.

Im confused.

use the link below and put in your info. it tells you the mailing date of your application or check, if you applied last year, and the amount you get based on your income.

i guess that sorta helps. I live in the village of depew and i pay village of depew tax, erie county tax, and cheektawaga school tax. So im not sure if i enter depew or cheektowaga. bah, oh well.

LOL

I have an S Corp, I would never pay myself $250,000/year.
If I did make that much I wouldn’t be driving a 5 year old Audi.:biglaugh:
My house just looks amazing in pictures.
I am not that bitter, ask anyone that knows me in real life.
Some people take out their stress on their kids, I see NYSPEED as my kids.:spank:
Oh yeah, I didn’t have my certificate of occupancy last year so I am assuming I won’t get a rebate.

since you pay school taxes to cheektawaga i would say you would enter cheektawaga for the district you live in even though they don’t let you select depew for the locality.

either way you’ll be getting over 300 bucks lol.

584 :tspry:

Have to be in as of May 1.

I had a temporary c of o.
Maybe.:gotme:

Got mine yesterday, $265.

Their use of 2006 reported income killed me. That was year I took all the extra consulting hours to pay off the boat and buy the GTO.

good. this should offset the fact that my property taxes have remained the same. Stupid town is still using a 2007 assessment, because if they realigned for 2008 they’d show all prop values as having decreased, and as such receive less tax revenue.

they steal from your back pocket and you get all happy when they give some it back to you.

^ Maybe in Westchester, but here in WNY property values haven’t taken much of a hit. We weren’t part of the boom so we’re not really part of the crash either. I’ve watched what houses in my neighborhood have sold for in the last 6 months and I don’t see a drop.

Our property taxes in this state are still insane though.

property values have taken a shit here.

Yep, pretty much everywhere prices were way overvalued by stupid people taking out more mortgage than they could afford has taken a big hit.

nothing yet 4 me

Fuck.

No Star and 6K in taxes due by Jan.

Awesome.

Nobody wants to hear you bitch about property taxes, STFU!
I just gave myself a big fat raise to cover my taxes.
Thank god for employee bonus budgeting.
(They don’t need a bonus.)
The govt dried up the trickle down, oh well.:gotme:
If they want to take more of my money there are other perks I can cut.

EDIT: BEFORE THINGS GET OUT OF HAND, IT WAS JUST A JOKE, I DIDN’T TAKE MY EMPLOYEES BONUS MONEY.
