I run a LS trans so my 4th gear will run me pretty dam close to 150MPH it’s 3rd that seems like it skates. I have a LSD and a set of drag radials that I think will help my issues with traction. My goal is atleast 500WHP but I would like to see 525WHP. I think that will crest 400+ torque

So Sunday was a gorgeous day finally. I don’t have the luxury of a garage to work in so I took advantage of the good luck Rochester is having. Did some stuff to freshen up the motor for the summer. Rod bearing, rod bolts and a head gasket. Also got the ports on the back of the block for my new PCV/catch can setup. Figured while I’m at it I’ll do my distributor cap for my coil-on-plug kit and see how the spark plug cover will look. I like it.

Got the turbo clocked and the feed line hooked up. Just missing a new hose for my return.
I’m hoping this will be all done before the end of March.
To do list:
*Wire up the CPR kit
*Plumb up catch can
*Install LSD and new tranny
*Install lighten flywheel
*Weld up new downpipe and exhaust
*Alignment
*Mount battery in the trunk
*Install surge tank and run lines
*Install boost solenoid
*Dyno tune
I think that’s everything…

So I got the coil-on-plug wired up and figured I’d crank it to see what happens…
I think I need to double check some wiring. The instructions aren’t too clear and the wires up near the distributor REALLY aren’t clear on what they want done with them. I’ll see if I can’t get an answer from the people I bought it from.
Still it cleans the engine bay up quite a bit without all the plug wires. What a cluster fuck those are.
Yea, the digi camo is a cool concept, but looks like u dumped aircraft paint stripper on them and got lazy

cool car though. Hopefullly it’ll run a 10
It looks a lot different in person. I was never really one to be over the top for looks and I guess the digi camo is the first thing to do in that direction. I hope I don’t run 10s cause I really don’t feel like putting a cage in. I’m trying to hit the dyno next weekend so maybe I’ll do some numbers to hit the dyno list here LOL.
Well I’m closer and closer…
This Saturday I’m dropping my car off to Rick Gifford from BTF Racing. He’s finishing my surge tank setup, wiring my full throttle shift option, boost solenoid and my A/C button to act as my record button for my on-board datalogging.
I’ll let you all know how the outcome is and pray it holds together LOL. Dyno sessions always make me a little nervous
DAMN IT I WANNA DO THIS!
GL with build
Update I guess…
Boost solenoid took forever. It has to be at the right hertz for my car to actually activate and start working to actuate the wastegate. Finally got it working and was doing pulls all day cleaning up. Plug gap started at .031 and finally misfired at 2-~22 PSI. Let the car cool down and closed the gap and halfway through that first pull the head lifted. YAY!
Ordered a copper headgasket and decking the head and hopefully back on the dyno this weekend.
The other bad yet no so bad new is I just can’t rev out enough for the turbo. There is plenty of power past 8k RPM but I don’t have the valve train to support a screamer yet.
Hope to be back with good news after this weekend.

Oops… 220,000+ miles and 400+ HP for about a year and 300+ for about 2 years. I guess I can’t complain too much
UPDATE
Car made 430 uncorrected WHP. Stock fuel lines killed me by not supplying enough fuel. An upgrade for next year.
Nice
Spinning in 4th on the street should be interesting.
It has boost by gear and a LS tranny. 4th gear REALLY isn’t bad. 3rd spins a little but still pulls the whole way.
awesome build, love the cop setup.
Thanks. I wish it came together sooner in the year. I missed every single SCCA event because of issues…
The COP kit I guess is doing its job. The dwell settings for it is hella low compared to last year with zero misfires. Improvement I suppose
