so i am in west virginia visiting my parents for the weekend… my dad runs Cole Motorsports, for you nascar guys you can thank them for the tear away windsheild also for the military hummers etc for the same thing… any way they have several dealerships nissan honda being the one that my dad is running so my wife want a new car i could get a 2005 honda pilot, leather moon roof the whole nine, or a 2005 nissan xterra se fully loaded for the same price a month, they both get the same gas milage as what we are trading in so that is not a factor… does anybody have opinons on these two vehicles
XTerra is too big… and even uglier than the honda pilot.
So, if those are your only two choices, I go with the honda.

the nissan, i think has more hp, which means more fun for you…
get whatever has a set of cool wheels in 6 lug so you can sale them.
Resale on the honda will beat the nissan most likely. Have you driven both?

we are driving both today plus there is an s2000 in the lot i am going to try and get the old man to let me drive just for fun…oh yea eric i talked with my dad he said that motorsports might have a set wheels sitting around i am going to find out today. he is not sure whats left though because there was a fire not to long ago…

Depends on what you want. The Xterra is more powerful, a true 4x4 (actually they are awesome at off-roading), very durable (I know cause I have one) I think they are cool looking ( :jerkit: to those who think it is fugly) It’s not meant to be a pretty SUV.
The Pilot is more of an around town SUV. Not real good at off-roading(mainlyFWD). But if your gonna haul people around it has a 3rd row seat available. Handles way better, smoother ride. Boring styling.
If it were me I’d take the Xterra. I have an 02 xterra and like it alot. I would rather have the bigger engine that the new ones have but oh well 
It rocks offroading. Took it down to Carova NC for vacation. Our house was 7 miles up the beach from the end of the paved road. Xterra rocked in the sand. I actually saw a couple of Pilots stuck
