Yes I get power but when you turn the key the to crank it won’t prime.
Deni brought over a ecu weeks ago and the same issue is there, and no the one I have is not modded, come over and help and I’ll pay ya in beer. I’m starting to think its the chassis harness but it’s a Honda shit like that doesn’t go bad.
Is the pump shot? If you’re getting power at the pumps when you turn the ignition on, they should fire…
The pump is brand new, If I hook a wire up directly from the battery it will prime
Have you tried using Google?

I realize those are B series etc but the concepts should all be the same.
Had the same issue with my pumps when i put the fuel system in. Turned out to be a ground.
sounds like whoever swapped harnesses when this motor was tossed back in fucked up somewhere and forgot to connect a ground or something. get a schematic and highlight all the grounds on it, then go to the car and make sure all of them are there/grounded as they should be.
Excuses, Excuses LoL!
There is a way to test the relay that triggers the fuel pump.
Alldata usually has wiring diagrams with just the grounds if you can find a torrent/someone with it.
Cant wait to see this running Evan!, and I gotta give you credit you haven’t quit on it and you have kept at it, now thats determination.
I realized after reading this thread and looking at all your DSM troubles you suck at automotive electrical.
Is this a Oem harness Oem motor or some hack swapped. Need to know before I waste time on all data
judging by the original post…this is a 99 EX, should have a D16Y8 in it stock. It was once swapped from that to a GSR motor back when Beast had the car, then CW00EK swapped it to a d16y7. in the first post there is this quote:
seems there is a complete clusterfuck of harness swaps and patches most likely. that or some of the plugs are mixed up from putting in a complete OEM harness in and removing whatever clusterfuck of wiring previously installed. (this thing SHOULD be wired with an unmolested stock-to-the-car harness at this point)
EDIT: What’s the current hardware configuration here? D16y7 is a non-vtec engine, is it installed with an LX/DX computer and harness or no?
Car has a d16y7 engine with a d16y8 tranny, I swapped out the old harness for the one that was supplied 99-00 homda civic DX/lx CDM oem harness uncut. Also has p2t or w.e ecu 2000 honda civic DX d16y7 ecu. I have alldata and have checked all grounds. Cleaned up all the grounds, I think Jt76 is right and maybe the fuel pump has a bad ground but we just made a new one for it.
Yes I do, lol it’s not like a computer!
Lz posted some very helpful links that tell you how to do that. I’m going to give that a try also.
what drives spark on these? cam angle sensor? crankshaft position sensor? might want to also test whatever circuit provides spark since now you’re not getting spark either.
It needs a dizzy for it to have spark. The dizzy in there is believed to be shot.
Man someone made out good on selling you this POS
