Well i decided to get rid of the talon, and pick up a honda, since it what i love working on, and feel the most comfortable to work on. I traded CWOOEK his 99 ex coupe with a d16y7 and greddy turbo kit for my 1g talon, both have their issues and quirks, found it to be a very solid trade.
pics of that CWOOEK sent me from when i was first intrested in the car, did take new ones yet.
Had the car, flatbeded to my house, and drove my talon over to his and took the plate off, as soon as it hit my garage it was go time.
steve looking over the old hacked up harness.
The engine harness that was in the car, was when the car had a gsr in it, it was all hacked up and torn to shit, with random wires everywhere. jake (06specv) and steve came over and we started to pull the old harness out, pretty simple and straight forward, coming out.
harness all out in this picture.
old hacked up harness
steve laying out the old and new harness labeling the new one with what plug is what
vtakkkkk plug on old harness found this funny
checko, steve and jake putting in the new harness routing the wires where they should be.
The harness was labeled already too. steve went ahead and laid out both harnesses and started to match up the plugs and re label the new harness, while he did that jake and i switched the rails on the seat (old one had a rip, a extra one was included that was rip free!) after steve got the harness all squared away, we started to put it back in the car and plug it into the connectors, checko then showed up and took over, with putting the harness in like a boss. The new engine harness is basically, in the car, a few plugs are not pluged in like o2 sensor, oil pressure sensor, started to mock up the ic piping for the car as it was never put on when the engine was swapped over, tighten some misc bolts down ( need to go over the whole bay to make sure all bolts are tightened down). we also have to drop the shifter and put it in the right way as it was put in backwards. Few other things, get a battery, different alternator (pulgs don’t match up) power wire from fuse box to battery and starter, get a battery, etc.
