anyways . . . im with swift on this one. If i had 30k i would build something like what he has that looks clean inside and out as a DD(if i had to choose between a evo or honda), they are easier to work on that Evo’s . . . i know a lot of people think fast honda= fully gutted w/ a fart can but thats not always the case. But when you can have a car that looks pimp on the outside and inside that costs the same as a stock car that is extremely slower in almost every aspect why wouldnt you do it?
everyone has their opinion on whats better. I could build at least 6 super fast hondas for the price of a new ZO6, but if I had the money I’d get the vette any day. Some would take multiple hondas for some reason or another and thats cool. C6 ZO6 > 6 street racing civics :lol

I think the reason is simple. Not everyone wants to drive around in an econbox regardless of power. Sorry but even some very fast Hondas look like absolute ass. Hell, some come with no AC, a tape deck, and roll up windows.
Everyone has different priorities but I think it’s expected that someone will want to pay money for a nicer car.
With that said, IMHO, the EVO shouldn’t be the car to base it on (not sure why it came up nor do I care) but some car they like.

my point was i’d never buy a car and pay rediculous interest over years and make payments. Not saying that i always want to drive my civic… but i’d probably save money and do something like a 2JZ S2000. IMO its more fun to drive something people wouldnt expect to be as fast as it is

dont buy a sti for the motor… yes its nice… but there are plenty of better options… and this is comming from an sti owner

if you r on a budget and want a straight line monster than a built honda is by far the best option. you can go stupid fast for cheap. Once you start showing interest is other sorts of racing than other cars will be a better choice.
I remember seeing pics of a civic hatch (sorry, dunno the proper “code” for it… ef eg ej… whatever) that had an evo 7 motor and trans swap. AWD 4g63 civic hatch… tasty!
