I don’t see how they could suck. You see local guys (taking those team teal guys for example) have built some pretty serious car’s for not a whole lot of money. To be honest I think they are the best bang for the buck. Fairly inexpensive to mod and build and they are pretty dependable. The bodies on them (older ones) don’t seem to hold up very well, but over all I don’t think they suck.
That and if your just bombing around town in them and not modding them, they seem to be pretty good on gas too.

Stock hondas, especially the old models completely and totaly suck in the stock form. Why? Because they are grocery getters.
Honda as a car to modify? Amazing, cheap after market support, millions of other tuners selling used parts, wealth of information online, everything has been done before you, just follow the tracks, light platform with engines that are capable of hitting 10’s for about 10G’s and a car for 1000$. Most fast Honda’s have some of the best bang for the buck between the price of the car and the mods into it, directly related to the LP/HP ratio, which directly relates to quickness.
Downfalls? FWD, abundancy, and a very basic car to start with, with little to no luxuries. IE fast econobox.
Edit: Also incredibly versatile. Can be easily made into AutoX, Track, Drag car etc, all equally cheap, reliable, and can maintain their DD capability.
They do however suck at Drifting…

From what I’ve seen, because of how cheap Honda’s are, anyone can buy one and do whatever they want. Because a few people rice them out doesn’t mean an entire motor company sucks. I don’t really get the point of this thread. I guess I shouldn’t go home and drive my car or use my lawnmower because they both suck. As well as Honda motorcycles and ATV’s, all of their f1 cars, Jetski’s and boats, and all of their cars. Oh I forgot, I’ve never been to a shop unless I needed an inspection. Are you angry that anyone can put a couple thousand into a Civic and make it faster than 99% of 3000gt’s on the planet and still get over 25mpg? You can’t just talk shit about an entire company because their are usually “scumbags” driving them. I guess dodge and ford both suck because all of the drivers of Shadows and early 90’s Escorts are probably in a lower income bracket. jeez, talk about ignorance

I think the thread is meant to be a joke as a spin off of the other one. Sorry, that my intent was not more obvious. People that know me know that I have more than love for well done Hondas but hate the shit ones. Your post seems to infer that “few people” rice them. My experience has been different as a I rarely see nicely done Hondas. Around here, the Hondas are mostly a joke as 99% are shit while the other 1% are amazing. Hard to ignore the shit?
3/S TT gets 24-25MPG too and for $50 or less you can run 12s all day long not a “couple thousand”. But, that’s not the point. My opinion of 3000GT is real. I know what they can and cannot do. Am I angry? I could give two shits if all of the 3/S on the planet, including mine, disappeared tomorrow.

Honda is a great company. I just made a big generalization based on its owners that largely give the platform a horrid image.

Ok, I thought you were 100% serious. Ricers suck, and it sucks that theres so much rice shit available for Civics etc. Eclipses are the same way. I’ve seen a ton of nice ones and a ton that are just disgusting. I still don’t think that the entire company sucks because of what some people choose to do though.
