"How Do You Earn a Living" sticky

Actually, not sure. This business is a new startup moving to a new office with 0 gear as of now

i can imagine what this means

I just accepted a project manager position at Praxair.
Project Manager, Small On-Site Engineering

Good bye R&D, hello making money for the man.

I wish i could double my salary, but once your in, your subject to Everycompany USA salary structure. ( I’m not cool enough for big bumps)

Jumping over to Linksys, just accepted a Business Development Manager position working with their top 2 distribution accounts for commercial market sales. Pretty stoked.

Still working with Ingram (and D&H) but I’m fully remote.

Nice work brotato

Nice, congrats man!

Nice job sir, calls for a beer!

Been at Colton RV in Orchard Park for 1 1/2 years now. Crushing it in sales. It’s how I do. Can’t imagine ever not being solely on commission. Want a raise? Sell better.

After flying puddle jumpers for 8+ years, I was recently hired at United Airlines and fly the Boeing 737 out of Newark, NJ. Flying to lots of nice places and meeting a ton of great people. With all the baby boomers retiring in the next decade, (we have a mandatory retirement age of 65) it will provide a lot of opportunity to fly different aircraft and different routes. Right now I mainly fly domestic with some Central America and Caribbean stuff on occasion.

That’s pretty intense

that is awesome!

can you briefly tell us how you got this gig? im going to guess previous military experience?

It sure beats a nitrous fed Neon!

Thanks! This job took me 12 years to get. I did all of my flight training while I was in college. Worked as a flight instructor for a few years building flight hours. Got hired by a smaller regional airline flying a 50 seat jet. Worked there for 8 years, building more time and experience hoping to one day fly for a large, major airline. It took a lot to get here, but hopefully I’m done job searching for a long time. Now I can focus on the car again

Coolest job here^^

Also, any nudeZ of stewardesses?

Hats off to you sir, I am a terrible passenger when it comes to flying. DO NOT LIKE

Evilsrt wins this thread, unless someone chimes in that they personally fit Victoria’s Secret models for their photo shoots

Where did you do your flight training/instructing at?

Puddle jumpers can be fun, if you’re jumping from them that is! -_-

I rent private jets. Do I win?

Trained and then instructed at Embry-Riddle Daytona Beach campus. Puddle jumpers are great, it’s the paychecks that hurt!

Congrats! My last work trip I flew for I actually looked into becoming a pilot just because haha. After seeing what you make working for small regional airlines and how long it takes to land a big gig I quickly decided I don’t have that kind of patience. Congrats again, that is awesome!

If I worked for Ingram I am pretty sure I would find a new job. Sucks. :frowning:
