"How Do You Earn a Living" sticky

DRS was this entire building … NFTA has always owned this building … they just lease space

Bump.
I left my position with Rexel.
I am now a Project Manager with CIR Electric Construction. My last gig was pretty great but this is way more hands on and there is a lot more opportunity in my future. I got tossed right in and am starting with a 6 story hotel in the Falls.
I also am doing the home inspection thing so my schedule got quite busy quite quickly.

Congrats on the new gig!

Is this on the BLVD? If so, it’s right down the street from me.

Nice! Now that you will be local for work, want to install the sub panel box in my garage. Lol

Nice.

I used to use CIR all the time back when I was in R&D.
I was never able to get a polo from Tom J.
The guys did get me a T-shirt though

Want me to ask for you?

I do need one to go with my MJ Mechanical shirt.

I got a hoodie. #conflictofinterest #bribes

I have some. What size?

If a Large found it’s way to me, I would wear it to shame my old team

I miss the MJ Mechanical Christmas Home Depot gift cards I use to get at my last place

I have a never worn (my nanny did cut the tags and wash it though) large CIR Nike Polo from the taste of Buffalo this weekend. If you want it it is yours.

If you are still in touch with Tom, awesome. I will be taking over Praxair in the upcoming year sometime so you will get to deal with me. Sorry.

I did see a lot of CIR equipment downtown.
I would totally wear it.

As for dealing with my old Px buyer… Beware. he LOVES after the fact PO’s
(not really beware. he loves his job)

Done with full time residential remodeling sales, mostly. Things went sour with my one of my previous employers and don’t like playing the game when the rules are changed after the cards are dealt. Schuster Construction was good people but just didn’t have the clients to allow me to make a reasonable living.

Started yesterday as the new production manager with a company I used to work for over 20 years ago. BGI Millwork based in Lackawanna near the base of Rt 5 and Ridge Rd. Full service millwork fabrication company producing casework, reception desks, conference tables, countertops, interior architectural trim / details, including installation. Work produced for projects all over the country, and lately more local projects as well. Notably 716, BNIA, Bills, Sabres, Sear Restaurant, and New Era. Some occasional high end residential projects but mostly commercial. Company is expanding and currently constructing a sizable addition for office staff and production. I’m still doing residential sales on a limited part time basis. Maybe some side work, time permitting.

Awesome! I love the product that they are putting out. I am across the street from you.

GTFO. Where are you?

CIR Electric
400 Ingham Ave

We also have the solar office right on Rt. 5 next to Noco.

Down the road would have been a more accurate statement.

I do a lot of work with CIR, Tom J and Gene in particular. Good outfit

Yup, gotcha. Hello neighbor.

Been a while since I’ve been somewhat active on here. New gig seems to have taken over, not to mention Barricuda web filiter

Anyways, I’ve recently just a hit a year at Evans Bank working in the insurance department. I started out as a small business placement specialist and have recently been moved up to mid market, which essentially means I work on premiums between $10-100k for businesses and property insurance. We specialize in some Commercial Real Estate buildings, so I work on a lot of large buildings.

I still dabble in the home and auto, but the issue is I saved so many people money on their insurance at my last agency, I can’t beat their current price! :ham:

If this is the new one, I worked on the construction insurance portion of this deal. Seems like it took forever to take off!

F’ing sweet man! Looks like this is a step above your previous place, so that’s a good thing. Do you miss running your own business yet?
